Becoming a Successful Consultant

It seems fairly simple. How do you become successful in your business? You just need to work your business daily. Daily actions do yield results! It has been said time and time again. Follow a simple course of action because at times, less is more!
Here are some basic tips to work your business. Of course, these tips are geared for Scentsy Consultants, but can definitely be applied to all Direct Selling Companies! 


1. Go out and brand yourself and approach people. Get their information by branding yourself and starting a conversation with people. Find something to compliment them on and build trust.
2.  Follow Up. Once you do get their info, follow up. It takes 5-8 or more times for a customer to buy/host or join.
3.  Send them a thank you, send them an email, text, mail something nice for them to enjoy.
4. Offer a Demo Warmer to experience at their home or office.
5.  Present the pouch party as an option for them to smell the scents and see if any family/neighbors or co-workers are also interested.
6. Woo your new customers, let them get to know you, and your product. Courtship takes time, building relationships does not happen over night. Relax and stay focused on your end result.

Connecting With Charisma

Connecting and making connections is the best way to grow your business. But, how can we connect with others? We can connect by spending time outside of our comfort zones and building connections with charisma!

During a leadership training I received last year, the speaker mentioned that the best way to come out of our comfort zone and purposely grow our business is by making deliberate connections with new contacts. The way we connect with those new contacts has a lot to do with our charisma towards others. In a nutshell, here are the ways we should be building connections:

C Concern for the need of the person, what does he/she want or need?
H Help. Reach out to others in their need.
A Action. Take action and create a fun and enjoyable experience.
R Results. Have the ability to produce results when making connections by applying your strengths.
I  Influence, be influential, be a leader and others will follow.
S Sensitivity when making connections allows others to feel comfortable with you.
M Motivation and hope should be at the core of your connections with others.
A  Affirmation. Build up the person you are connecting with and let them see themselves as you see them.

Actions Towards Success

Celebrate your actions, not your results! If you do daily actions towards building your business, success will come!
Here are a few tips for you to put in place....ready, set, action!

1.  Know. Have knowledge about your products. Educate yourself in order to educate others.
2.  Share. Share your story and passion about your business with everyone you meet. Your passion and drive will shine.
3.  Ask. Ask everyone you meet if they would like to join your team and change their lives.
4.  Connect. Making more connections with people gives you more possibilities to grow your business in all areas.
5.  Listen. Listen to people, everywhere you go, show them you care and they will open up and connect.
6.  Evaluate. Evaluate your actions and if you're not getting the results you want, then change them. Step out of your comfort zone and do things differently to grow your business.
