Actions Towards Success in Business Building

Are you taking consistent action in building your business? Check out these steps that will help you remain consistent!

1. Set weekly and monthly goals. Set an Action Plan and continue to evaluate and re-organize its effectiveness.

2.  Maintain steady focus on those goals. Whether they be team building, sponsoring, training, booking, selling, customer service, keep your focus on your goals and improve on the weak areas so that you are doing constant actions towards achieving your goals.

3.  Develop some time management, where you include time for yourself and your family, as well as your business. If you don't set time apart for specific aspects of your life, you will find you are neglecting one or two areas. Setting time apart for yourself (me time) is as important as the time spent on your business and on training. You need to feel good about yourself in order to help your team and customers!

4.   Provide great customer service. Communicate often with them. Courtesy calls, thank you cards, preferred customer cards, customer appreciation sales, these are all ways to keep connected with customers and have them become loyal, repeat customers.

5.  Provide great service to team members. Communicate often with them. Nurture your future leaders by recognizing those that have set goals and have met them. Focus on team promotions and team incentives and challenges to get your members to promote. Help them set goals that will help them promote to their next level.

6.  Sponsor new, active consultants every month.  Share your business opportunity with everyone, everywhere you go.   Be generous, if someone wants to join your team, help them with their launch party/debut party. Train them, set an example, train them to duplicate your actions and see success! Set a goal of having at least 1 active recruit per month to see a steady growth of your business.

7.  Book continuously. Set a goal for a set number of parties or home demos per month. Set a goal of how much you need to sell at each party or demo to put you on track for promotions and winning company incentives and challenges.  Take advantage of the various ways you can hold parties depending on your specific Direct Sales Company, and book accordingly. Book themed parties, personal demos/home parties, give out catalog parties, use the internet and social media to book parties. There are many ways to get bookings and referrals!

New Recruit Training Tips

Are you a new recruit? Just signed up.... now what?
Here are some ideas on how to get your business up and running.

Do you have a new recruit and want to share some ideas with them? Look no further!

New recruits should always have a debut or launch party to show their products! Have fun in planning your first party and inviting your family and friends. You can choose to make it intimate or a big blast, but always remember the law of numbers: the more you invite, the more will show up.  Plan your debut or launch party with plenty of time and gear up with excitement. Let everyone know how excited you are to share this new adventure with them! Talk about your debut party continuously. Don't be discouraged if the attendance is not overwhelming. Make sure you give out your catalogs and have pre-party and post party order availability.

New recruits should offer Preferred Customer Cards with every sale. A preferred customer card is a card you give to your customers and after 10 or 12 purchases (or the number you wish), the customer gets a free gift.  You can mark each order with the date on the customer card or punch a hole on the card with the date. Make sure to remind your customers to take advantage of the preferred customer cards.

New recruits should always set time apart to train. Whether it be training calls, live meetings, training videos or emails, if you start your business on the right foot by dedicating time to be trained and to learn, then you will earn! Prioritize your time, discipline yourself and set a goal of getting a certain amount of training in each week. Listening to your team calls is great because it helps you connect with others on your team, lets you know what they're doing and you get ideas and motivation from others who are trying to succeed just like you!

New recruits should always contact their sponsor, director, or upline. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The more you ask, the more you show your upline that you're interested in learning. Connect yourself with other team members and ask them questions. If your sponsor or direct upline is not in contact with your or does not reply to your questions, then go ahead and contact your director or someone above you. When you show your determination by wanting information and asking questions, you grow in knowledge. Don't let anyone make you feel bad for asking questions or wanting to learn more about your new business! Remember that your company also has a direct line for support. Reach out to them.

New recruits should always label everything. Never let anything leave your hands (products, business card, catalog, sample, sponsorship packet) without it having your contact information or label on it. Label everything including yourself! Label your car and yourself (name tag, t-shirt, cap, jacket). Let everyone you meet see who you are and who you represent! Don't be embarrassed or shy, take on your new business venture with excitement and passion and others will see it and will buy your products!

New recruits should always have a new contact info sheet or a drawing slip with them everywhere they go. Offer people you meet to enter your monthly drawing. By doing this, you get their contact information and can send them newsletters, customer specials, booking specials and your communication. Give them the option of buying, hosting, joining (if your company has these options) and of referrals. Always know that when you give your information to a new contact, you should get some of their info as well.

New recruits should have samples of their products available. Depending on your budget and creativity, you can have samples handy and give them out with your contact information. People love getting free samples! Goodie bags with a sample, a catalog, a product guide and your business card are great ways to get people familiar with your brand and with yourself. Don't be embarrassed to let your community know you are the local  representative for your company. Let them know they can call on you for those specific needs and let them know what new products come out.  Samples are a great way to promote and market yourself!

New recruits should always set goals! This has been said so many times, but if we are not accountable for our actions, we won't succeed. Set weekly, monthly, 6-month goals and yearly goals. Write down your objectives of how you will achieve these goals and plan your daily actions. 15 minutes of daily actions will get you going towards your goals. Remember that if you set your mind to it, you can achieve it!

The 10 Commandments of a Successful Recruiter

The 10 Commandments of a Successful Recruiter

Are you being a successful sponsor? Read these 10 Commandments and change up your leadership!

1.  Always lead by example. Let your new team members see you have sales and bookings. Take them with you to your appointments and let them learn from the best - you!

2.  Attend all your weekly team meetings or conference calls. Show up to go up (in person or on the phone!)

3.  Communicate frequently with your new team members. Emails, e-cards, a short call, texts, facebook, skype  -any of these ways show you care! Ask how they are doing and if they need any help.

4.  Be friendly with them, but distinguish the business from the friendship. Do not confuse the relationship, be professional , helpful, guide them, teach them. When building a friendship with your team members, be sure to get to know them, do not mix talking about business when you're building your friendship.

5.  Always talk about moving up in the company and in the business. Always have stock and cash and carry items on hand for unexpected orders.

6.  Always let your team members learn and earn. Do not enable them, let them watch you do things, guide them and let them know they can do it too.

7.  Keep a 100% positive attitude at all times. Refuse to listen to negativity. Break your sound barrier with positive sounds!

8.  Call your sponsor, upline, director. Share (ask them and tell them) about your team members. Make sure they know and you know what's going on with your downline.

9.  Help your team members get their first team member. Help them promote to their next level in the company, as they help their new recruit with their fast track or shooting star or power start.

10.  Never take responsibility for their lack of success. If they want to make it work, they need to and will make it work!

Are you working SMART?

Are you working SMART?!

Are you sharing your Business Opportunity with everyone? Think of yourself as being selfish if you don't share this opportunity with everyone. If you are a representative for your Direct Sales Company, you joined it for a reason (or many reasons), why not share it with others and let them decide if they want to join the adventure?

Work Smart!
S - specific goals
M- measurable goals
A- attainable goals
R - realistic goals
T - timely goals

Make your goals out to be weekly or bi-weekly, monthly, for 6 months and for 1 year, and make them specific to sales and team building... that way you're working SMART!

8 tips to build your Direct Sales Business!

8 tips to build your Direct Sales Business!
These tips can be applied to any Direct Sales Business that is based on selling and hosting parties.

1. Keep Catalog Parties handy and available everywhere you go. (Catalogs and order forms and business cards) Drop them off at Dr.'s offices, dentist, bank, dry cleaners, salon... Make sure you carry your planner with you and write down the dates and contact info of each Catalog Party you dropped off.

2. Try to find 10 new contacts per week. (Drawing slips, new customer info sheets, take them with you everywhere!)

3. Always follow up with past hostesses and customers. Send thank you notes and offer specials to host or re-order.

4. Continuously book parties. Catalog, basket, demos, home parties, open houses, multi vendor events. Include drawing slips, or customer sheets in all types of parties and offer a drawing prize to a winner from that specific party using the drawing slips. Offer an incentive to the host if it's a catalog/basket party, for getting those slips returned to you!

5. Have certain dates during the month available to your customers so they know you will be placing an order. Offer free shipping for locals or offer a 1/2 price reward for an order of $150 (or qualifying amount).

6. Offer referral incentives for any bookings/sales/recruiting. If someone refers a lead, and if they buy or host or join, the person that referred can get a free gift or half price item. There may be people who do not host or join, but they give good referrals and leads!

7. Hold a Customer Appreciation Day Sale. For example:  This day only is Customer Appreciation Sale Day for every $30 purchase get a free gift... Remember if your company does not allow you to post your personal sales publicly, then make sure you contact your customers with these personal sales.

8. Celebrate your yearly Anniversary with your company. Offer deals on the day of your Anniversary and remind your customers that their support is important and as their Consultant, Rep, or Distributor, you want to include them in your celebration. Tell them how many years you've been with your company and share your story with them! (Celebrating your Birthday with your customers would work the same way!)
