Even More Tips For Building Customer Loyalty
As we try to build our business and our customer base, it is necessary not to neglect our current customers. If we want to strive on success and sales, we need to put some effort into building customer loyalty. I have worked on a series of "Tips For Building Customer Loyalty" so check the previous blog posts on this topic!
Here is the third and final blog in this series.
1. Throw in something extra and unexpected with your customer's orders. Think about when you go shopping and you find a little something extra in the bag, even if it's a free bookmark. Think of adding in a little something to your customer's orders, even if it's a free sample of something they haven't ordered. Think how nice they'll feel to see they got a little something extra in with their order. That will surely keep them coming back!
2. Make sure your customers receive your exclusive offers and specials before others do, or have a unique special exclusive mongthly offer for returning customers, that way they know what's new or what's on sale before others do, and that way they will feel like VIP's when they know they are getting a VIP treatment! That will surely keep them coming back!
3. Follow up for customer feedback. Ask them how they are enjoying their products, what they enjoyed most about their last purchase, and how you can make their experience even better the next time. Getting customer feedback shows them you care about your business and about them. That will surely keep them coming back!
I hope you all enjoyed this series and have implemented some of these tips in your business. I would love to hear your feedback regarding my blogs and tips! :)

More Tips For Building Customer Loyalty
As we try to build our business and our customer base, it is necessary not to neglect our current customers. If we want to strive on success and sales, we need to put some effort into building customer loyalty. I will work on a series of "Tips For Building Customer Loyalty" so check back often for a new blog on this topic!
Here is the second blog in this series.
Customer Service Reliability and Personality always counts!
1. Be reliable. If your order is shipped and you receive it by a certain date, don't wait too long to have it delivered to your customers. Be reliable. Let them know when you will be out delivering and make it a point to get their orders delivered to them as soon as you can! Customers count and they will keep coming back when they see your reliability.
2. Be sincere and grateful. Don't sound fake, but be sincere when you greet them, when you call for re-orders, when you deliver their product. Be grateful for their order and their support of your business. Be appreciative that this person has chosen to do business with you! Customers will keep coming back when they see your sincerity.
3. Be friendly with your returning customers. Make sure to remember their names and what they do for a living. When you get on a first name basis with your customers, you are building a relationship which will last. When customers can see you as their personal consultant "who knows me and cares for me" they will keep coming back.

Vision vs. Fear
Do you have your vision set for your business? Is it hard for you to reach your goals? Is fear deterring you from setting a clear vision and achieving it? Don't let fear become an obstacle to your future. If you can visualize it, you can achieve it!
Let's talk about vision. What is your vision? Set your vision, write it and believe it. According to Andy Stanley, author of Visioneering, a vision is a clear image of what could be that is nurtured by knowing that's how it should be. To me, a vision is more than a goal. A vision is what you see your future should be. A goal (long or short term) is a stepping stone or marker that allows you to see that you are heading straight for the vision you have set for yourself.
As Stanley explains in his book, your vision tells you "I could be this.... Maybe I could do this...." And that vision lets you know that that's how it should be! Vision is a preferred future. It's a point in destiny; your preferred future. Your vision requires change because it presents itself in contrast to a present you are living now - as is. A vision becomes reality when we take risks. It requires visionary people who, with heart, soul and passion, can see past what is in front (present) of them and to move past that and act upon the idea, the vision, that has been placed in their heart with much value.
When we talk about vision, that image, that preferred future, that point and place that you know it's where you want to be, that vision does not encompass only one area, it encompasses your entire life, future, and family. If you set a vision for your business, when you set it and see your preferred future, you see yourself, your family and those around you and those you can help and bless. That's why a vision has to do with passion and value. Because when you can see yourself in a preferred future, better than your present condition, you must know that it will not only affect you, but all those around you, and for the better!
Wikipedia defines fear as an emotion induced by a perceived threat which causes entities to pull far away from it and hide. Merriam Webster Dictionary defines fear to be afraid and to expect worry about something bad or unpleasant. Dictionary.com defines fear as a distressing emotion caused by impending danger, evil, pain - whether the treat is real of imagined. When we talk about fear in our business, the fear that the majority of us face is the "imagined" kind, since I doubt we will have any impending real danger of dying or getting sick because of our vision or setting a goal. The fear that usually comes to deter us from achieving our vision is the imagined fear, the False Evidence Appearing Real type. It's the fear of failure, not doing my best, what will others think or say. And we come up with so many excuses to not act because of those fears. We "want" to sell, recruit, book parties, coach, train; but we find ourselves having to leave our comfort zone in order to achieve success in those areas. That's where the fear comes in, a distressing emotion of impending pain, the thing is that when it's imagined, it usually tends to be worse than it really is.
As Joyce Meyer puts it, take the focus off of performance - of being judged and criticized by others -that can paralyze us. Fear stops our own progress. If we make a mistake, we get up and try again. We are all human! We need to just stop focusing on how others will react, how we will perform, if we will be judged, if they say no.... we need to get that fear of failure out of our heads and just tackle those fears in order to conquer that vision, that preferred future!
Andy Stanley gives a few questions we should ask ourselves in order to see what those fears are exactly, to be able to tackle them. If we answer these questions honestly, we should be able to conquer those fears and begin to conquer our vision!
1. What are the things that are currently distracting you from your vision?
2. What plan of action will you take, what will you do about it?
3. Within your vision, what is your biggest fear? What is the worst that could happen?
4. If that worst happens, what would be the consequences?
If we answer these questions truthfully, then we will realize that we are prepared to handle the worst of the consequences. That should allow us to focus on our vision, knowing that if the worst were to happen, we know how to handle it and move on from it.
We must remember that the majority of times, the fear is in our heads and it isn't as bad as the worst scenario we could ever paint. Know that saying, you are your own worst enemy? Yes, and it's the fear in all of us that becomes that enemy. But when WE know what fear doesn't want us to know, that it's False Evidence Appearing Real, the battle is already won!
Speak your vision and expectations to those around you, to your team members. Let your team members know what their strengths and potential are and how they can use them to better enhance the quality of the team, therefore achieving the expectations that are set before them. Seek out the natural gifting/capability each team member has and let them be made aware of them, praise them for their future successes with those skills and strengths, let them know that they each hold an important place in your team and that they can achieve the expectations 100%.
I put this into work with my own team and I have discovered that when you give your team expectations, they know what they are striving for. I have seen results. I have written and declared my vision for my team for this specific month. And as a team, we all ran with it. Some successes were higher than others, but overall, the team ran with the vision, accepted the declaration and worked hard to achieve the expectation.
Continue to write your vision, set it clear and declare it.
It will come, I promise!
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, 'Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?' Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” -Marianne Williamson
“Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run who reads it. For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay..." - Habakkuk 2:2-3

Tips For Building Customer Loyalty
As we try to build our business and our customer base, it is necessary not to neglect our current customers. If we want to strive on success and sales, we need to put some effort into building customer loyalty. I will work on a series of "Tips For Building Customer Loyalty" so check back often for a new blog on this topic!
1. Offer Customer Incentives. Give your customers a reason to be loyal to your business and come back for more! Offer a Free gift with purchase or a buy 5 get one free, or even a preferred customer program where after placing a certain number or orders with you, they get a free product. If you can offer free shipping or discount for ordering personally with you, include this as a customer incentive. Be creative and come up with your monthly incentives for your customers and watch them come back for more!
2. Do follow-up and courtesy calls. Don't just call a customer to see if they need more product, call them to see how they're doing, to check up on them, to find out how the family is doing. Try to always remember an event that will be going on with them and call back to check in and ask how it all went. They will see you are interested in them and not just their business, and they will come back for more! Facebooking, texting and emails are good, especially when we live in a fast paced society, but a phone call is a building block!
3. Provide excellent customer service. Each company has policies, but as consultants or representatives, there are things we can do to go the extra mile for our customers. Don't hesitate in providing the best service you can when it comes to questions about exchanges, returns or unsatisfactory purchases. When our customers see us go the extra mile for them, provide them a small thank you gift, or from time to time send them a little something for their wait or just for placing an order, they will come back for more!
Stay tuned for more tips!

Questions You Should Be Asking Yourself About Your Business
How are you treating your business?
By using this list of questions you should be asking yourself, and by answering with honesty, you will see exactly how you are treating your business.
Determine if you're treating your business as a business, with professionalism by having this question checklist with you always!
What do you expect from your business?
How do you present the business opportunity to others?
How do you present yourself to others?
Do you have your products in your home, car, office, or on yourself if possible? Do you use them? How much or how often?
How do you package and deliver your orders?
Do you write 'thank you' on the receipts?
What do you do constantly for your business?
What responsibilities can you delegate to your spouse/family to help you get that needed time each day for your business?
Have you sat down with your spouse and/or family members and told them what your goals are and why you are doing what you are doing?
What is working?
What isn't working?
Have you been evaluating your actions?
Have you implemented a business schedule to fit around your work schedule?
Are you staying true to your work and business schedule?
No more excuses! Be honest with your responses and fix the things that need fixing. Treat your business as a business and watch how it will grow!

FOCUS!
F.O.C.U.S. and get back to basics so your business will thrive! No matter where we are on our business adventure and journey, here are some things we need to do with consistency to get back on track and enjoy the ride!
F.O.C.U.S. Can you FOCUS on your journey to results?
Follow One Course Until Successful
Keep focused on your business and your journey. Sometimes when we lose focus on our business, or focus on other things thinking we can "multi-focus", usually we end up changing our priorities and sacrificing our vision and our focus and we lose time, momentum and motivation. When we focus on our priority, when we put our vision first and we Follow One Course Until Successful, we will be able to give out attention to other things because our #1 priority will be on the right track.
If we have lost track or focus, here are a few things we can do, consistently, to get back on track and stay on FOCUS until we can take on other things.
When we plant seeds and cultivate CONSISTENTLY, we get back to basics and we SUCCEED!
Are you SHARING your business every day or are you missing opportunities to share with others? Are you collecting new customer info on a daily basis? The only way to grow is to go! Go and share!
Are you CREATING opportunities? Are you creating parties, open houses, events, or recruiting opportunities and asking everyone around you to attend, buy, host or join your team?
Are you OFFERING everyone all the benefits your company has when it comes to buying (deals & specials), hosting (free or half off), joining (change of lifestyle)? Are you offering all the benefits your products have to show for? You can change a life just by offering these benefits to everyone!
Are you EXPANDING your customer base by offering special monthly deals like a product of the month club? Expand and keep your customer base by creating personal deals and offers for those returning customers.
Are you SETTING your goals and SEEING your vision grow? Always re-visit your reason for joining your company and what you expect from it. If you're not seeing results, then re-examine, re-evaluate and change your course of action.
ALWAYS F.O.C.U.S.!!!

Business Basics For Organization
Finding yourself a bit overwhelmed by trying to balance your business with other areas in your life? Organization is a necessity when building a Direct Sales business. Here are some tips to help you organize yourself better.
- Set specific business hours and let your customers and team know about them. Separate your business time from your personal time. Teach everyone to respect your hours, including your family.
- Screen calls, as a business owner everyone should know you're busy and will return their call at your earliest convenience.
- Have an office space available for yourself. It does not have to be big, but it has to be YOURS!
- Organize your space. Size does not matter. Learn to discipline yourself to always organize your space.
- Establish boundaries. If you can't, then say sorry I can't. Learn to say no if you can't!
- Take time off without feeling guilty. You don't need to work your business 24/7 to be effective. Learn to take time off for your family and yourself, that is part of improvement.
- Learn to schedule your time - business, family and personal. Include your personal and family activities in your business calendar that way you know when you can schedule parties, meetings, etc... without interfering with family or personal time. Schedule some "me time" once a month, be by yourself and enjoy it!
- Always keep your family life and business life balanced. Learn to recognize the need of each and learn to give the needed time for each.

Stop! Think! Don't! 5 Don'ts For Direct Sellers!
For all Direct Sellers, there are 5 negative actions, or DONT'S we need to avoid. If you find yourself doing one of these, then Stop! Think! and Don't! Just change the negatives into a positive and see success!
1. STOP over analyzing what you should be doing and just go do! When we think about the actions we should be taking, we tend to feel guilty about not getting it done. Stop thinking about what should be done and just get to going! Start with a list of 6 daily actions or spend your first 15 minutes in some Income Producing Activity and take that momentum into your day! Just Do!
2. STOP spending more time on the computer than meeting new people and making connections! The way to build a customer base and customer loyalty is to let people get to know us. A smile, a hello, a conversation, face to face, goes a long way. Get on the phone and call past hosts/hostesses and customers so they can hear a "live voice" and always have a smile even when talking on the phone!
3. STOP wasting your first morning hours on things that are going to stress you out or worry you. Spend your first morning hours doing things that will build your day, your momentum, that will get you into a positive mood. Read a book, pray, listen to music, write, do what you enjoy best during the morning hours instead of focusing on chores or things you "need to get done" but are not going to set a positive mood for the remainder of your day.
4. STOP saying you're trying your best and giving it your all, just get out there and do it. Show everyone how you're doing it. Lead by example and the rest will follow. If you just say you're trying your best, chances are you're not really putting all the effort you could be putting in by getting out there and doing!
5. STOP making excuses and over thinking why you're not working your plan, and just do it! If you need to follow up with customer calls, don't make excuses, just do it. Set a specific time daily or weekly and make the calls. If you need to send out customer emails, don't make excuses. Whatever daily or weekly Income Producing Activity you must accomplish to target your goals and plan of action, do it, don't hesitate, over think or excuse yourself.
Those were the 5 Don't s, now in case you haven't figured out what the 1 Do is, here it is: JUST GO DO!
"Successful people aren't born that way. They become successful by establishing the habit of doing things unsuccessful people don't like to do. The successful people don't always like these things themselves; they just get on and do them." -- Unknown

5 Bare Business Necessities
You can call them tips, characteristics, habits or even necessities, but they are sure to help your business succeed!
1. Always have a clear vision and clear goals. What do you see and want for yourself? What are your immediate goals? How do you want to achieve them? With a clear vision and attainable goals, you will succeed. Ask yourself these questions: Why did I join this company? What benefits did I first see when joining? What do I want for myself and my family? These should help you establish a clear vision of where you see yourself in the near future and how to establish and attain goals that are related to your business.
2. Always have good work ethics. Focus yourself on your work, knowing that all Income Producing Activity you spend on your business will get you results. Don't think that because it's "my business" that you don't need to work at it as much as you would a 9-5 job. You need to work consistently at developing a good customer base, a good host/hostess program or base, a good, efficient team and that all happens when we lead by example and work our business professionally, consistently and ethically. When you lead by example, others will definitely follow!
3. Always build yourself in order to build others. Develop people skills, communication skills, leadership skills in order to make your business and team grow. When you build your communication and people skills you will find yourself looking for team members who are like minded as you are, who are willing to succeed and who will work hard at achieving it. When you train yourself and are in a constant learning stage, you will be able to train and teach others knowing that you are constantly gaining information to share with those around you. Awaken others' emotions and find those stars that will be successful on your team!
4. Always be results-oriented. Look for solutions to any problem you see. When we are problem-oriented we find negativity in everything and it gets very hard to attain goals because we cannot see the solutions or create solutions. When we set standards of excellence and drive our business based on our character and ethics and not emotions, we will become solutions-oriented and will be able to coach, consult and train others. Find a way or make a way!
5. Always have fun and enjoy your journey! It's your business, enjoy it! When you let it become too stressful, you have lost your focus and the previous 4 necessities listed above. Go back to having fun, enjoying your journey and focusing on changing your life. If you get to this step and find yourself not enjoying your journey start focusing on numbers 1-4 and decide to make your business your adventure! You will see success at every corner, with every new person you meet!
Positive thoughts turn to positive actions which becomes a way of life.

Preparing For Lift Off - 4 Building Blocks For Business
When your dreams and vision become your purpose, you have lifted off! Here are 4 building blocks to prepare your business for that lift off! Ready, Set, GO!!!!
1) BALANCE - Balance your life and business. Discipline your time and priorities between your family life and activities and your business. Balance your business by working each area and giving some allotted time to the areas that will drive your business to success and promotions. Book-Sell-Book-Recruit-Book-Coach
2) BUILDING BASES - Build a deep and wide customer base by always meeting new potential customers and contacts, and also getting referrals, booking parties and appointments. These bases will always help your reach your sales goals.
3) BUILDING BRIDGES - Build a relationship on trust and understanding with your customers. This bridge will lead to repeat, loyal customers, repeat hosts/hostesses, referrals and active recruits.
4) BRING IN THE HARVEST - Bring in your harvest, reap your rewards by always marketing your products and promoting yourself and your business everywhere you go. Never underestimate the power of branding and marketing yourself, and your products. If you want a harvest of sales & retail, plant those retail seeds. If you want a harvest of bookings and leads, plant those follow up calls and customer service seeds. If you want a harvest of recruits, plant those seeds of meetings, business opportunities, and sharing your business everywhere, with everyone.
Your dream keeps you going, even when you don't see anything yet! Prepare for your lift off!

The 3 S's In Communication
In Direct Sales, as well as in any area of our lives, there are 3 S's we should keep in mind when communicating and talking to others. If we make it a point to keep these 3 S's as a priority, we will learn to be effective communicators in every aspect of our lives!
1. Simplicity. Keep it simple. Talk to people in a simple way and make sure you have a point they can relate to.
2. Slowly. Say things slowly and clearly. Make sure they understand your point and can repeat it if needed.
3. Smile. Remember that non-verbal and body language is important. Your passion should shine through and they should be smiling when the conversation is over.
When we practice simplicity, say less and say it clearly, we are more effective in our connections with customers, hosts, team members and we basically become better communicators!
For more tips on effective communication, you can read John Maxwell's book:
Everyone Communicates, Few Connect

Attitudes In Behavior And Body Language
What does our body language tell others? As representatives of a brand, we are marketing and branding ourselves, from the way we dress, to how we act, and what our body language says about us counts too. Here's a checklist we need to evaluate and examine as we find ourselves talking to customers, hosts and recruits. What are we telling others through our body language?
What do these body language attitudes tell those you come in contact with?
Positive/Interested Cues:
Direct Eye Contact
Smiling
Leaning Forward
Open Arms and Hands
Nodding
Sitting relaxed with hands down
Negative/Uninterested Cues:
Non-direct Eye Contact, looking around at everything else
Selfless expressions/non smiles
Taking steps back, leaning back
Non-expression/feedback
Arms Crossed, fists clenched
Sitting upright, arms crossed, sitting on the edge of seat
Nonverbal feedback:
Boredom (yawning, fidgeting, rocking body, tapping fingers)
Evaluation and Interest (leaning forward, squinting, head tilting, nodding, smiling)
Anxiety (sighing, nail biting, twitching, scratching, clearing throat, rapid eye movement)
These are great body language cues we should be aware of for ourselves as we talk with others and as others talk with us!

4 Basic Ingredients for Success!
If you're hungry for more success, these 4 ingredients are sure to help your business rise beyond your expectations! But, don't forget that all 4 of these are necessary in order to achieve; without one or the other, it will be like your favorite dish is missing a key ingredient from its recipe! So, get used to these 4 ingredients and use them daily in your selling, sharing, coaching, mentoring, training, booking and watch it all rise to a higher level of success!
1. PURPOSE why you do what you do, what positive results you get from doing what you do, and what future dreams can you accomplish by continuing to do what you do.
2. COURAGE step up, stand out, get out of that comfort zone, step out of the boat and go into the water. When you do something to step up, and stand out daily, you will see results.
3. PASSION personal energy, focus, love for your brand, company and what you do will get you results... when you incorporate your business into every aspect of your life, you shine your passion and love and others will understand and also partake.
4. COMMITMENT discipline, stay on task, finish the race, get the job done... do something daily and don't let the day end until you've done what you set out to do for that day. If you commit to your business and lead by example, you will find that others will commit as well because of what they see in you.
When you're busy being productive (no matter how many minutes or hours you have set aside for your business in that day), you can't worry about what is NOT happening, because so many things are! When you work your business with these 4 ingredients, you are sure to grow and succeed because you just can't go wrong! Try it and you'll see.... but remember, don't leave one of these ingredients out because then your final results won't taste the same.... and I know you want to taste the VICTORY! :)

3 Tips to Increase Your Sales
Need ideas on how to get your customers to buy your products monthly? Want repeat customers? Here are 3 tips to implement in your direct sales business and watch your sales grow!
1. Promote a specific product for a specific time period (whether it be monthly, weekly, bi-weekly). Offer your customers that choice to buy that product or a package of combined products for a certain amount of money with some type of savings or discount. Once they decide to buy, it will be easier for them to choose a product you are promoting and offering. If they want to add on, they will, without question. Produce the maximum number of sales by making their choice simple. Providing a product or package simplifies this decision for them.
2. Establish a personal connection with new, potential customers. Sure, it is easier for them to order online, but if you make their experience a more personal one, where you meet them and present your products to them, let them experience them hands on, and you get to know them, ask them questions, let them see you are listening and know that you care about their needs, they will buy and will become loyal customers. Also, personalize your packages, or promotion materials according to your market. If you make your promotions and marketing more personal, you are sure to get more interested buyers who will want to use your products for their specific needs. (Moms, business people, work force, students, Dads, realtors, doctors,)
3. Provide specific benefits about your products. Why should your customers buy your products? Why are your products better than the competition? Why will your customers benefit from buying your products? At times, you will find that the customers themselves are stating the benefits when they see how good the products are! When you talk about your products, use specific examples that will hit home with your customers. Be specific on what your products do, how they can be used, how they can improve your customers' lives or businesses. When you use specific words that appeal to whatever situation your customers are in, you will find you have established a connection and that will generate sales and keep them loyal.

Planting Seeds of Passion for Your Business
When you continuously plant seeds everywhere you go, you will reap a great harvest. Are you sharing your business with everyone you meet? Are you planting words of encouragement and change that comes along with being a business owner? If you are, then get ready for your big harvest!
One of the steps we must take in order to see growth in our business, is to plant seeds everywhere you go. Let everyone know about your business, why you joined, what hopes and goals you have for the near future, and that you are looking for others to get on board, join you and explode together! When you spread and share not only about your product, but about your experience and what your business has done, is doing and will do in your life and in others' lives, you are planting seeds that will eventually grow. With a passionate heart and a focused mind, when you share the opportunity to join your business, you will see interest from others because your light will shine and they will see!
Here are some 'one-liners' you can use when sharing your business with others. These little seeds can be incorporated in conversations that will surely spark interest and get them asking questions!
"Could you find 6 hours a week if it meant an extra $200 a week?"
"What would you do with an extra $1,000 a month?"
"Wanted: Someone with enthusiasm, energy and a desire to earn!"
"Full time pay; part time hours."
"I love what I do! You can too!"
"Put your passion into action!"
"What are your dreams? "
"If you want a fun job, ask me!"
"I succeed by helping others to succeed."
Then, proceed to SHOW them how to get what they're looking for.
Plant seeds to get all kinds of different people to join your team! Diversity of characteristics, types and personalities and talents!
The more action you take, the more progress you make!
